GOG Galaxy was tried, and probably works well in desktop mode but having it in Deck UI mode (like I did for EGS) turned into a hot sticky mess. DOSBox shall be tried!

I saw your Stellaris and Crusader Kings 3 video, which is great since i was wonder how any of the Paradox's games work. But is there any way for the steam deck to run Victoria 2 also? I know it does not have any compatibility markers(Verified, Playable, etc.), and I doubt Paradox will make an official port of the game to the steam deck. I was just curious if there was any way to run Victoria 2 on the steam deck even if it does not have any compatibility markers.

Like a lot of games that don't have official Linux support, it would run through the Proton compatibility layer by default. Victoria II should work as well as the others. For games that haven't been through Deck Verification, you can just install them as normal - it's only that Valve has not given them a badge yet but doesn't stop you doing anything.

Hey Liam, could you make a video trying to get Guild Wars 2 to run on the Deck. As a standalone windows only launcher I think it would serve as a good tutorial for people. It also has an excellent rating on ProtonDB Edit: Being an MMO without controller support it might also be a good game to show of what Steam Input can and cannot do

I cannot figure out how to use mods with OpenMW through luxtorpeda. It seems that everytime I launch the openmw launcher, luxtorpeda is reinstalling the latest openmw, which overwrites what I've configured. It also doesn't actually use the mods selected in the OpenMW launcher when launching the game through it. The openmw flatpak from the discover store doesn't have this problem, but it's also way behind on the version available. I spoke with the luxtorpeda dev and this has been resolved

Anyone have any idea how the actual fuck you manually install mods here for morrowind? This shit is driving me goddamn fucking insane. If I install a mod with vortex it works, the problem is that not all mods work through vortex. If I manually place the textures in the Data/Textures folder they dont fking load....

Finally worked, i think one issue was with one of the mods being dated, but the steam version of morrowind the bsa’s are also dated 2022, meaning the folders dont replace textures meshes or icons in the bsa. Theres a file on nexus that redates the bsas to 2002. Thanks for the advice though, appreciate it.

Actually luxtorpeda has an performance issue, which causes openmw to drop fps under 30... It is better to use the flatpak one, while it is little bit harder to set-up.

FIX :it didnt pop up for me in compatibility ,so i went back to game mode to completely shut down steam. then went back in to desktop mode and checked compatibility and it showed up.
