Exactly, it's extremely disappointing. Like I said in my post... I'm not itching for a new racing game so ill just simply stick with Heat when I want to race and use my money on another game

The performance on this game is miserable for how it looks. Even on high end PCs you struggle to get framerates you would expect.

Its the fostbite engine that is just very unoptimized for PC. Heat had issues as well and Battlefield 2042 struggles too

i played some NFS games and they all end up the same its not worth the price they sell it this should be a 40$ game no more

I also have a beefy that could slap this game around no problem but as of the last few months I work 72 hours a week so I only really have time to play on it one day out of the week. Steam Deck I can literally play wherever, whenever.

30fps low, of far view is lot of aliasing but it's on steam deck a portable console dude, who can do that ? Not the nintendo switch ^^ But on a pc full ultra it's cool to play ^^

Doesn’t look like you are bad at the game. The graphics settings while playing at night make it terrible to judge distance from corners. I’m struggling to see anything. No idea actually if it’s the graphics style or low presets.

I like that there is no music. without music on it makes the game seem more trippy without audio to backup cartoon effects.

We really need more arcade racers that aren't Forza and NFS.

Not a massive fan of Need for speed however i do tend to pick them up, ever since original. However, i really am not a fan of the art style with the anime characters. I mean I play a few fighting games and like DragonBallz fighterz and Streetfighter. But this hybrid format is not my cup of tea. It works for Who framed Roger Rabbit (great film), but I am not a fan of it in games.

How do you lock it at 30fps? The deck settings don’t go lower than 40fps and the games settings don’t have a fps limiter?

Put refresh rate to 60, then lock the frame rate to 30. They're two different things.

Use gamemoderun %command% Loading is fast, but u need install Game mod.

I was hoping you could help me with an issue. I got this game the palace addition, and was so excited to play it on my Steam deck. So I installed it and it finally installed so I launch the game and on first lunch after about 30 seconds of gameplay it crashed however, I fixed that by lowering the graphic settings down to medium. But now I’m having another issue that I was hoping you could help me with now every time that I want to play the game I have to uninstall and reinstall the game every time I can’t just quit and then reopen in order to replay it again I have to delete it and reinstall it. Any ideas on what I could do to help this issue thank you.

It was fixed for me. On computer, it didn’t launch at all, but all I had to do was install a graphics driver and I was fine!

Not sure what happened with ethier steam or EA but something was fixed this game wouldn’t work at all for me yesterday wouldn’t boot and the before that issue it ran poor at low setting but now you can play on high setting with no issues and a very smooth 30fps do not run protons nun of them but it will be verified soon I’m sure cause this is pretty good I’m satisfied now 😢

im really enjoying the game but there are so many little things that make me hate it. critereons obvious desire to make a new burnout with the stupid boost mechanic and the useless crash screens, that you cant really farm money to tune cars in single player, that they spent money on asap rocky and not new parts/car licenses, that performance parts are locked to one car again, that the sharing wraps still doesnt load trending or most recent properly (something thats been unfixed since payback) i really hope they somehow let me farm money once ive finished the game i dont want to be forced into online just to mess around with car builds.

Can I run this game offline tho? I’ll start the game and it will jus sit on steam loading when I open the app offline

Small correction as noted by another: you can tweak individual settings by going to Custom (they're hidden by default), but you still really don't want to go above Low. The Low preset works as shown.
